Buying a ring from Tiffany & Co., Cartier, or another luxury brand is a significant investment. Getting the size right matters more than ever — and these brands have their own sizing nuances worth understanding before you buy.

Tiffany & Co. Ring Sizing

Tiffany uses US ring sizes, which makes conversion straightforward for American buyers. However, there are a few things to know:

Tiffany's sizing range: Most Tiffany rings are available in sizes 4–12, with half sizes available for most styles.

Resizing policy: Tiffany offers complimentary resizing within the first year of purchase for most rings. After that, resizing is available for a fee. Note that rings with diamonds or gemstones around the entire band (like the Tiffany Soleste) cannot be resized.

Ordering online: Tiffany's website includes a ring sizer tool and allows you to order a free ring sizer to be mailed to you.

Engraved rings: If you're ordering an engraved ring, confirm your size before engraving — engraved rings typically cannot be returned or exchanged.

Cartier Ring Sizing

Cartier uses European (ISO) sizing — the inner circumference in millimeters. This is different from US sizing and requires conversion.

Cartier's sizing service: Cartier boutiques offer professional ring sizing. For the Love ring and other iconic styles, Cartier recommends visiting a boutique for sizing, as these rings have specific fit requirements.

The Love Ring: Cartier's Love ring is designed to fit snugly. Cartier recommends sizing up by one size from your normal ring size for this style.

Pandora Ring Sizing

Pandora uses European sizing (48–60) for their rings. Their rings are available in even sizes only (48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60).

Pandora rings are not resizable, so getting the right size is critical. Pandora offers a free ring sizer in stores and online.

Van Cleef & Arpels

Van Cleef uses European sizing. Their rings are typically available in sizes 48–60, with some styles available in a wider range. Resizing is available at their boutiques.

Bulgari (Bvlgari)

Bulgari uses European sizing. Their B.zero1 ring, one of their most popular styles, is available in sizes 48–70 and can be resized at Bulgari boutiques.

General Tips for Luxury Ring Purchases

Always get sized in-store if possible: For a ring costing thousands of dollars, the 30 minutes spent at a boutique for professional sizing is well worth it.

Ask about the resizing policy before buying: Policies vary significantly between brands and even between ring styles within the same brand.

Consider the ring's design: Rings with stones all the way around (eternity bands), rings with intricate settings, and rings with specific structural designs (like Cartier's Love ring) may have limited or no resizing options.

Account for the ring's width: Luxury rings, especially men's bands, tend to be wider. Wider rings fit more snugly — size up by half a size for bands wider than 6mm.

Keep the receipt and packaging: For luxury purchases, maintaining the original packaging and documentation is important for resizing, repairs, and resale value.

Investing in the right size from the start saves you the hassle and potential cost of resizing — and ensures your luxury ring looks and feels exactly as it should.
